Here are a few questions that I get asked. Also if there are any other questions you would like to have answer just put them in the comments.
1. How much of a notice do you need for an order?
Well, this is a hard question....I don't always "need" a lot of heads up, depending on the time of year. I "like" a least a 2 week notice for large orders, around holidays, graduation, etc. I do try to keep some products on hand, but those go fast. Orders are always filled first (before pickup items) and last minute orders are not guaranteed. I also like to know, so I can plan how much ingredients I will need. So with the holidays fast approaching please plan ahead.
2. Why do you freeze your products? 2 reasons...
1. Unless you plan to come to my house and eat your order straight out of the oven (which you are welcome to do:) freezing makes the products taste more fresh, moist, and I think better. No, I am not just saying that so I can make things ahead. Homemade yeast bread does not stay fresh for very long (not longer than 24hr), especially because I do not use any type of preservative.
2. I do not have the equipment for me to keep up with orders...that is if I ever want to sleep, spend time with my family, or having any other life:)
3. Do you make pies?
Yes, I am adding pies to the menu! Check out the menu page for prices.
4. How about cakes or decorative cookies?
No, to both. If decorating anything is a talent I have, it is hidden very deep and I have yet to find it:)
5. Do you ever get tired of baking?
I get this question a lot. The truth is I haven't yet. I can get tired of make the same thing (1000 dinner rolls) and be ready for a variety, but I haven't got tired of baking.
6. Do you deliver?
Yes, I do. See menu page for delivery fee.
7. When will you put your "barn" up?
This is one of the most common ask question I get and I don't have a set answer. I know what has to happen first...
*All the kids have to be in school (youngest will start Fall 2017)
*I will only put it up if I have the cash to pay for it. Some of you are wondering why? This is a side business, and I do not want it to become a financial burden to my family. Also, I am someone that if I have to "bake" to pay for something it would probably take the fun out of it for me. I am trying to be "business wise." ( Sorry if that's too personal)
* I would like to get all the kinks out when the business is small. This is why I like feedback....including things that need worked on:)
With that said we (or Kyle) is working on updating the electrical panel in our home and fixing some things in the garage, so I can add 2 more freezers and possibly an oven in the garage. I am super excited to be able to keep more products and supplies on hand.
Please let me know if you have any more questions!!!!
